“No substantial outbreaks” of COVID-19 were reported after a series of pilot events in April and May which brought thousands of people together in crowds
Ten special events were held involving 58,000 people, including a clubbing event in Liverpool, the Brit Awards ceremony, and the FA Cup Final.
The report said 28 cases of COVID-19 were recorded during the Events Research Programme’s (ERP) first nine events – which featured 58,000 attendees and included the Carabao Cup Final and FA Cup Final.
The Brit Awards, which featured an audience of 3,532, recorded zero cases of coronavirus.
