Music and Programming

90% of the music output played on Just Radio is from new and unsigned artists and PRS free. Where Just Radio takes networked or syndicated shows from other contributors, broadcasters and sources, that source is responsible for paying all PRS, PPL, and other Royalty Payments. These shows may include, Marcus Hayes, The Experience, The Best Of British, Dean and Sheena.

On submitting music to Just Radio for air-play you agree to provide it to Just Radio Royalty Free, unless otherwise stated. You must inform us if this changes so we can remove you from our database.

Just Radio makes use of all modern radio production techniques, so some segments within a broadcast hour may be pre-recorded or delivered from an off-site location – anything ranging from phone calls or guests, news from the FSN and Just Radio News centre, to off peak presenter links recorded at other studios.

Just Radio broadcasts news on the hour every hour, between 6am and 7pm, and 10pm and 12 midnight weekdays. Weekends have news on the hour between 6am and 10pm and midnight thereafter. News from FSN News Centre.

It should be noted that there is no absolute right not to be offended – people have differing standards of taste and decency – and there are no banned words or subjects. All content is considered in context of use and harm and weighed against the right of expression in a free and democratic society. Some of those rights are enshrined under article 10 of the European Convention on Human Rights which must be considered by the regulator body when setting and enforcing guidelines.

Obviously we hope you’ll never feel the need to complain but if you do wish to contact us, in the first instance you should contact the Network Director in writing via email to music @ detailing your concerns.
